HELICOPTER FILM MOCK UPS

UH-60 Blackhawk

The current backbone of the military helicopter force for the US and many other Western armed forces. Ours is a real airframe modified for filming. She’ll set dress, dangle from a crane or go up on a gimbal.

Sikorsky S-76

Getting to the higher end of VIP helicopter transport, in real world this sleek multi million dollar 8 passenger machine will cruise at over 170mph. Ours is intended to be a gimbal buck against other flying examples we can arrange. It’s all pre lit and doors / sections remove for camera. The interior was a fortune when installed with the highest quality leathers and finishes.

Eurocopter AS365 Dauphin

Euocopter AS365 or “Dauphin”. First flown in the late 1980’s she’s served both military and civilian masters. With a winch attached to the side she’s been a fast air sea rescue machine. Remove all that and pop some posh leather armchairs and she’s a VIP machine. Ours is a real airframe that will either sit on her wheels, gimbal mount or dangle from a crane.

BELL 212 MILITARY HELICOPTER

The Bell 212 Military Helicopter, its what the classic Vietnam Huey became. As well as being a troop mover its also found a place as a rescue helicopter and general multi purpose pick-up of the sky. Visually the exterior is very similar to the 1960’s Huey but you’ll note it has the newer glass cockpit. The doors pop off for camera and theres plenty of room to shoot from the cabin behind. It’s a real helicopter section so structurally very strong anyway but then we have it mounted to a large gimbal frame.

BELL JET RANGER

Well it might be the most well recognised of all helicopters as its been in constant production since the very early 1970’s until only a few years ago. They’ve done it all; military use, private helicopter, police chopper and corporate VIP transport.

Our example is a real helicopter section, configured as VIP transport / Private Owner. However we’ve made some modifications. The cockpit is complete, it all lights up and all the controls wiggle as they should. Structurally its strong enough to gimbal mount should that be required.

Sea king

This is officially the back end of a SeaKing military transport / air sea rescue helicopter. Can pass as a number of generic military machines. Ours has been made super easy to shoot. As usual, it’s on a steel base for your gimbal. Secondly the whole cockpit section floats away to allow camera access to the rear cabin. We’ve also cut a section opposite the big side door to allow camera to cover all that action. Prelit with RGBWW lighting its pretty much plonk it down and shoot away!

Lynx military helicopter

A medium sized military helicopter operated by several of the worlds military. Mainly a ship based chopper in the troop transport, submarine hunter role. Ours is a real helicopter and essentially complete. The cockpit is all there but its not as authentic as it might be. Having said that it presents well enough and only the hardcore super geek would call you out on it. This one is special to us as it has the ability to dangle from a crane, so you want that hovering shot with troops bailing out the sides on ropes then this might be the winner.
