“Thou shalt not covet thy neighbors aircraft” The Lord commanded. Well I’ve never wanted a plane as much as this. It’s simply stunning. They spend about 11 and a 1/2 months a year polishing it, then about 13 and 1/2 days trying to start it. Oh but those final hours!
“Murder on The Orient Express” wanted a plane that a 1930’s Playboy might have had on his lawn, and this more than fitted the bill. Problem was they wanted to shoot it backlot at Longcross Studios. So we arranged for the wings to come off, pop it in a truck and then reassemble at the Studio. After a quick afternoon shoot it all had to be unraveled and get it back to base to start the polishing again. Wonderful machine that didn’t get a good enough shot at stardom. Come on, find it another role. I’m desperate for a go in it..
