The Bell 206 is a family of two-bladed, single- or twin-engined helicopters, manufactured by Bell Helicopters. Originally developed as the Bell YOH-4 for the United States Army’s Light Observation Helicopter program, it was not selected by the Army. Bell redesigned the airframe and successfully marketed the aircraft commercially as the five-place Bell 206A JetRanger. The new design was eventually selected by the Army.
Today its likely the worlds most common private helicopter. It’s been flying for best part of 50 years with only subtle updates along the way.
We’ve used these several times and we even have a brilliant studio buck to help you get those bits of interior dialogue in an otherwise tight shooting space. In addition we have a crash shell so if you’ve got some heli action which ends up in a crash after some close up screaming then it doesn’t get much better!!
