The Hiller OH-23 Raven was a three-place, light observation helicopter based on the Hiller Model 360. The Model 360 was designated by the company as the UH-12 which was first flown in 1948. The OH-23 trainer was jokingly nicknamed the “Hiller Killer” by US Army Aviation student pilots who had to fly it.
The Royal Navy used Hiller HTE-2s for several years from 1953 and later operated Hiller 12E’s for many further years as its basic helicopter trainer.
This one is quite the star. Its the actual helicopter flown by Pussy Galore in 007’s “Goldfinger”. For a 1960’s helicopter its unique in that its been totally restored to the point where it looks like its factory new, important if you want it to play a period role. To this end we took it to Italy for the filming of Guy Richies “Man From UNCLE”. For an old girl she didn’t miss a beat and looked stunning on screen! Give us a call for more details.
