The Short SC.7 Skyvan is a British 19-seat twin-turboprop aircraft manufactured by Short Brothers of Belfast, Northern Ireland. It is used mainly for short-haul freight and skydiving.
It’s a high wing, twin-engined, all-metal monoplane with a mid-mounted tailplane and twin rudders. The first flight of the Skyvan, the Skyvan 1, was on 17 January 1963 and many are still used today, mainly in the role of skydive aircraft. It’s maybe not the prettiest aircraft ever and consequently became, affectionately, known as “the shed” by its pilots and crew!
We used this one for the original “Kingsman” movie. It got a coat of matt black washable paint and we operated it for a couple of days while those crazy skydive types did their thing.
It would also serve well as a little freighter / drug runner. Able to operate from grass if needed it’s a great load lifter. Call for more details.
